We first found Chris on Thumbtack and So Glad we did as we bought a condo in Hilton Head and it needed HELP. CHRIS WAS THE MAN FOR THE JOB as he and team worked tirelessly to transform a 1.5 jack and Jill bathroom set into 2 full bathrooms complete with tile. He was great as he fit us in when other jobs he was working on had delays and also worked many weekends. We also utilized his skills to help build out a closet in another part of the condo. Mind you he did this while just meeting us on the phone while he was in HH and we were out of state. He also played well with other as we needed our electrician to assist with some old incorrect wiring.  Just can’t recommend him enough (although my wife feels like she is a better painter) that said she is a great painter.  Altogether he was on time on budget and super flexible. When deciding to remodel my master bath I soon discovered that relocating sewer and plumbing lines were cost prohibitive and so a total gut remodel was out of the question. instead what I needed was a dramatic facelift to bring my 72-year-old mid-century modern bath into a new century. I needed a company that could blend the old with the new all within the original dedicated space. That's when someone recommended Chris Lastella and Handy Home Renovations. I called for an appointment to discuss plans for the reno.  Mr Lastella came on time and was very informative.  We discussed my vision and made a plan: new tile floor over the existing tile floor (didn't even know that was possible, keep the wall tile and trim tile ( it was in really good shape ), new paint (after removing aged wallpaper) new medicine cabinet, new vanity, new toilet and all new fixtures. Of course the ugly and obsolete white soap dish and toothbrush holder had to go. I had no idea what would fill in the big void left in the wall tile (certainly couldn't match 72-year-old wall tile) Mr La Stella suggested decorative tiles- what a brilliant idea! We set a date for the work to begin. Mr La Stella arrived on time ready to work with all of the tools and necessary supplies in hand. He was careful to lay drop cloths in all areas where he needed access to and from and including the work area. He worked meticulously and skillfully each day. At the end of the work day the work area was cleaned. Even with a well made plan, when working in a 72-year-old house there are bound to be a few surprises. Mr La Stella made sure to apprise me in advance that the plan might have to be altered and then he would say "but let me see if I can work some magic" and magic he worked. But I'll call it skill. For anyone who is considering Mr La Stella and Handy Home Renovations I'll say this: if you want someone who is skilled, pays attention to detail and delivers the job that you expect, then you won't be disappointed.
